First came friendship, then came fashion.
It was friendship at first sight when Morgan met Mignonne Gavigan 9 years ago at a Fashion + Technology Forum in NYC. Both equally drawn to each other's style, they immediately struck up a conversation. With Southern roots, a deep love of color, and an "open book" attitude, their connection was instant.
After years of popping up together from coast to coast, Morgan and Mignonne decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level. {insert wink emoji}. We are so excited to announce that the BURU x MG Collaboration launches this Saturday, October 14th.
From a fun conversation between Morgan and Maggie over coffee in Round Top, Texas selecting textiles to countless zooms discussing silhouettes and accessory designs—a collection of rich textiles, bold hues and sparkly jewels emerged.
Pops of orange, magenta, and aqua are grounded by dark greens, neutral animal prints and muted metallics. BURU's textured tweeds, hand-painted twills, lurex knits and shiny sequins pair perfectly with Mignonne's statement making pieces—including rhinestone button covers, shoe clips, tweed bows and headbands.
Though completely designed in tandem, we decided to keep things easy for our delightful customers. The BURU x MG clothing pieces will be exclusively available at www.shopburu.com and the BURU x MG accessories will be exclusively available at www.mignonnegavigan.com.

All BURU pieces are made in our Downtown Los Angeles factory using deadstock textiles and vintage trims.
