BR: What do you love most about being a mom?

JC: I love watching them discover life. It's amazing how the small things in life are incredible to little kids. I love how balanced and grounded they keep me.

BR: What is the number one way in which motherhood has changed you?

JC: Before I had kids, I never worried– ever. Now it seems like all I do is worry! I will always have three kids I'm responsible for and it's the best feeling, but it also gives be a lot of anxiety!

BR: We LOVE Lunchpails & Lipstick– it's so fun! The mom lifestyle tips and tricks are amazing, but what we really want to know is, what actually is your favorite lipstick?

JC: Good question! I'm a huge lipstick fan. I have drawers full. I wear Show Orchid by M.A.C. a lot with this pearl gloss over it. I LOVE how they look together.

BR: Is there one fashion item, no matter how impractical to wear as a mom, that you'll never give up wearing?

JC: Yes. I have never stopped wearing my heels or wedges.

BR: What inspired you and Lisa Harris to create Lunchpails & Lipstick?

JC: Honestly, I live in NY, far away from my family. I was looking for something I could do that would keep me at home with my kids and give me an outlet. It keeps me busy and focused on what matters most: being a mom, teaching my kids how to set goals and how to work hard.

BR: What are your mommy must-haves from BURU and why do they work in your mommy lifestyle?

JC:

Featured: Bella Dahl 3/4 Dolman Sleeve  T-Shirt.

Featured: David Lerner Skinny Track Pant.

Featured: Rebecca Minkoff Marisa Baby Bag.

Featured: Rachel Pally Florence Caftan.

When I'm with my kids, I love to be comfortable. I'm really into track pants and tees right now. They can be dressed up with heels or worn with flip flops! Anything Rachel Pally is a favorite of mine. I love long maxi dresses and flawy pieces.

BR: How do you balance your time between your family and business?

JC: This is something I'm always working on. Late night after all three of them are tucked in bed is when I do most of my work. I'm about to start a new chapter this year. All three of my kids will be in school! I can't belied it. So I'm hoping I will get everything done while they are at school. I'll be ready for them when they get home from school.

BR: Your children are adorable! If you wouldn't mind sharing, please tell us a few of your favorite mommy moments.

JC: My favorite mommy moment is definitely when I met all three of my kids for the first time. It was such a peaceful and spiritual moment. I will never forget it. It was hard for me to leave the hospital because I felt so at peace there. Most women can't wait to get out! I could have stayed for weeks.

BR: Tell us your favorite...

JC:

  • Bedtime Story: Pete the Cat– my kids can't get enough of this book.
  • Lullaby: "You are my Sunshine".
  • Vacation Spot: Maui, Hawaii– we got engaged in Maui and have been back every 3-5 years. It's a special place for us. So many memories.
  • Restaurant: The Smith in NYC.
  • Children's Brand: Tutu Du Monde and Peek Kids.

BR: What's the one thing you wish you would've known before becoming a mother?

JC: I wish I would've started sooner!

Thank you so much, Jenna!
